If you are unhappy with the outcome of your skills assessment you can request an
independent, internal assessment appeal.

How to lodge an assessment appeal

If you want to lodge an assessment appeal you will need to:

  • request a review within 30 days of the date on the determination
  • send a written request for an assessment appeal via email
  • pay the appeals fee ($300 AUD)

You will need to send your request to:

Our process

After you lodge an assessment appeal we will:

  1. Respond to your written request for appeal within 5 business days.
  2. Start the appeal process when we receive the appeals fee.
  3. Have the Director of Accreditation Services conduct an independent assessment of your suitability for migration against the assessment criteria.
  4. Notify you of the final decision by email.

The appeals process can take up to 30 business days to complete.
