An outcome letter is the document you receive after we process your skills assessment application.

We can update your current outcome letter if you need to:

  • add qualifications
  • add work experience
  • change your ANZSCO code
  • correct any errors.

You can only update your outcome letter if it has at least 3 months of validity remaining.

An outcome letter can be updated a maximum of 2 times.

An update will not change the expiry date on your outcome letter. The letter remains valid for 2 years from the date of your initial skills assessment outcome, not from the date of the update.

If your outcome letter has expired, you will need to apply for a new skills assessment.

Steps to update your outcome letter

  1. Check expiry: Ensure your current letter has not expired and has at least 3 months remaining.
  2. Verify experience: Confirm you have at least 3 months of work experience related to the skills or ANZSCO code you are requesting.
  3. Log in: Access the Skilled Migrant Application portal.
  4. Request update: Select the "Request Outcome Letter Update" option.
  5. Confirm request: Choose the desired ANZSCO code and confirm your request.
  6. Pay fee: Complete payment using your credit or debit card.
  7. Upload documents: Provide a professional reference letter to support your work experience.
  8. Wait for response: Await further communication from ANMAC.

Cost to update

It costs $145 to change your ANZSCO code, add work experience, or correct any errors.
