ANMAC appoints Camilla Rowland as Chief Executive Officer
ANMAC is pleased to announce the appointment of Camilla Rowland as its new Chief Executive Officer, commencing on 20 April.
Camilla is a highly respected leader with more than 20 years’ experience across Australia’s health, education and community sectors. She joins ANMAC from Palliative Care Australia, where she has served as CEO, working closely with member organisations, leading national advocacy, strengthening partnerships across government and the health system, and advancing workforce capability and education initiatives to improve access to high-quality care.
Her leadership experience in standards-based, regulated environments and national peak bodies strongly aligns with ANMAC’s role as Australia’s independent authority for accreditation and skills assessment in nursing and midwifery, and with the Board’s commitment to independent, evidence-based decision-making.
ANMAC Chair, Professor Roianne West, said the Board was confident Camilla would build on ANMAC’s strong foundations.
“Camilla brings deep experience in governance, education and system leadership. Her approach strongly aligns with ANMAC’s purpose and values, and with our responsibility to protect public trust and education quality.”
Interim Chief Executive Officer Karen Grace will remain in the role during the transition period to support continuity and a smooth handover.
