What is GradReady?
GradReady is a limited-time application pathway that allows recent nursing and midwifery graduates to lodge their ANMAC skills assessment as soon as their course requirements have been completed.
This pathway is only open during graduation periods and is designed to support the transition into the workforce and skilled migration process by reducing delays between course completion and assessment.

Please note: We do not assess your skills in a face-to-face test. A skills assessment is completed through the review of your relevant qualifications and/or work experience.
Follow all the steps carefully to ensure your application is processed smoothly and without delays
To apply for a GradReady Skills Assessment, you must have recently your course requirements from an Australian University or tertiary education provider.
Your completed qualification must also lead to registration as an Enrolled Nurse, Registered Nurse or Midwife.
Check Ahpra's Approved Programs of Study list.
You will need to provide us with:
- Proof of identity documents along with a recent passport-style photograph
- Proof of educational documents
- An agent declaration document (if you have appointed an agent)
- An ANZSCO code relevant to your assessment
- Payment for your assessment ($395 AUD).
To avoid delays in your assessment, please ensure you provide:
- High-quality scans or photos of your documents
- A passport-quality photo of yourself, adhering to the Australian Government's photo requirements as a guide.

Documents You Need to Email or Post
Overseas professional registration documents can be emailed to verification@anmac.org.au.
Please note ANMAC can not accept registration documents received from free web-based email accounts such as Gmail or Yahoo.
If email is not available, your relevant authority can post your registration document to:

Document Quality
Before you upload your documents, make sure they meet our quality requirements.
After you have your documents ready, you can start your application in the Skilled Migrant Application portal.
To apply for for your assessment, you need to:
- Create a new account. New applications will need a new account and email address.
- Complete the application form: This can be found on the relevant assessment page.
- Pay the fees with a credit or debit card. Do not log out before your payment is processed.
- Check your email for your reference number, and confirmation of your application and payment. Contact us if you do not see it within 24 hours.
It’s important that you keep note of your reference number, as this will be requested if you contact ANMAC via email or phone.
After you have created your account and completed the online form and payment, you can upload your documents to the Skilled Migrant Application Portal.
To upload your documents:
- Log into your account.
- Upload your documents under "My account" once you have applied.
- Save your application to ensure that the uploaded documents are received by ANMAC.
After you submit your application:
- Check your email for any updates on your assessment. Please note that you may not hear from ANMAC for at least 6 weeks.
- ANMAC will email you if additional documents or information is needed. You can also check your application status by logging into the Skilled Migrant Application Portal.
Once your application is processed, ANMAC will send an email with your Outcome Letter. This letter will be valid for 2 years from the date of issue and will detail your valid qualifications and nominated ANZCO code.
Quality Requirements
To ensure your skills assessment application is processed as quickly as possible, your photos and documents must meet the following quality requirements. Re-uploading documents that do not meet these standards will delay your application.
Documents must be:
- A colour copy the original document (not a certified copy).
- Scanned at 600 dpi or higher resolution.
- Saved in .pdf file format.
If the document is in another language, you must provide both the original and a translated version in English by a NAATI certified translator.
Required Documents
Government Issued Identity Documents:
- Copy of passport biodata page (double page)
- Change of name document (if applicable).
Other Identity Documents:
- Passport-style photo of yourself. This needs to be:
- a high-quality passport style photo (taken within the last 6 months)
- saved in .jpeg, .jpg or .png file format.
Please use the Australian Government's photo requirements as a guide
- Course completion letter and transcript(s) from all relevant nursing or midwifery qualifications/courses that have led to registration in Australia AND overseas.
- Corresponding official and complete transcripts of results
If your transcripts show that you have any advanced standing, credits, or RPL from another course, you must provide evidence of it's source.
When filling out the application form, you must provide the date that you applied for Ahpra registration. If you submit an application without yet applying for Ahpra registration, your assessment will be delayed.
Note: Ahpra registration is still a requirement for the assessment to be finalised. You must provide confirmation once your registration is complete.
The GradReady Skills Assessment is only available for those applying for the ANZSCO code 254499 NEC (Not Elsewhere Classified).
If you would like to nominate someone to act on your behalf, complete the Agent Declaration and Third-Party Consent Form (97.5 KB) and include it in your assessment application.
