The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (Anmac) has marked a significant milestone with the launch of its new Strategic Plan, refreshed brand, and the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer.

The event which was held in Canberra also marked the official opening of Anmac’s new office, bringing together Board, staff, partners and stakeholders to reflect on the organisation’s evolution and future direction.

Anmac Deputy Chair, Emeritus Professor Joanne Gray, formally opened the event and acknowledged the significance of the moment.

“This is more than a milestone. It reflects how far Anmac has come and the important role we continue to play in Australia’s health system”, Professor Gray said.

Anmac also welcomed Camilla Rowland as Chief Executive Officer, who addressed stakeholders for the first time in the role.

“The work we do has real consequences for real people”, Ms Rowland said.

“Anmac sits at an important intersection between the global movement of nursing and midwifery professionals and the Australian health system. Our role in accreditation, assessment and leadership has never been more important”.

The newly launched Strategic Plan outlines Anmac’s direction and priorities, with a focus on accreditation excellence, assessment integrity and leadership in national policy and regulation.

It positions Anmac to respond to increasing complexity across the health workforce while continuing to safeguard the health of the Australian community through high-quality accreditation and assessment.

Alongside the strategy, Anmac unveiled a refreshed brand that reflects a modern, purposeful organisation and a clearer expression of its role in the health system.

Anmac thanks its staff, partners and stakeholders for their contribution to this milestone and looks forward to delivering on its strategic priorities.
