ANMAC Announces New CEO

It is with great pleasure that the Board of the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Council announces the appointment of Tanya Vogt as CEO, commencing 26th February 2024. 

Tanya is a dedicated health leader with a proven track record in delivering organisational strategy and health regulations and is personally committed to enhancing the quality of healthcare for all Australians.

Her experience as a Registered Nurse combined with a law background, and her time as an executive at the regulator Ahpra positions Tanya uniquely for this role. In addition, Tanya has served on the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, Dental Board of Australia, and the Department of Health.

The Board would like to thanks interim CEO Greg Cantwell for his stewardship during this time. He has led ANMAC through its strategic development to ensure all business offerings if ANMAC are soundly postions for the challenging Australian health landscape. He will return to the position of Deputy CEO when Tanya commences her role.

Tanya is excited and ready to take on the CEO role, is committed to the continuing success of ANMAC to ensure nurses and midwives received the highest quality of education.

The ANMAC 2024-2027 strategic statement will continue to be our driving factor ensuring excellence in nursing and midwifery education and accreditation, to achieve high quality healthcare for all Australians.

With accreditation and skilled migration services, ANMAC has a significant role to play nationally and internationally. We are pleased to share ANMAC have secured the contract to continue to be the accredited regulator with the Australian Nursing and Ahpra for nursing and midwifery education.
