The Australian Government, in connection with the new Aged Care Labour Agreement (ILA), has selected ANMAC as the skills assessing authority for 2 direct care occupations: Personal Care Assistant (ANZSCO 423313) and Nursing Support Worker (ANZSCO 423312).

Aged Care Providers who have entered into an Industry Labour Agreement will be able to recruit overseas workers where qualified Australians are not available. The Agreement is an initiative of the Department of Home Affairs to address current workforce shortages in the aged care industry in Australia.

The migration skills assessment will include a qualification and/or work experience assessment of aged care workers.
